6 month update.

Here are a few things we did in the last 6 months:

We went camping.

We went to the park.

Amelia started dance class. She gets to choose what she wears. I don't know why she is on the kitchen table. So sanitary.

The kidlets went to the Halloween Carnival and went trick-or-treating. Amelia was dressed as Tinkerbell, and a witch. Anya was dressed as a pink poodle.

Calvin installed a sprinkler system for our yards. The brothers-in-law helped.

We got grass. A bunch of people helped.

Anya had and allergic reaction to amoxicillan. This was the only appropriate pic. It was worse than it looks.

Anya received enough hair to put in a tiny pony tail. She will not wear bows.

Amelia and Anya played together. They are best buddies.

Amelia played dress-up.

Anya "feasted upon the word." She literally ripped off a page and ate it.

We sent off a missionary. This is Violet. Cal met her and her family when he was on his mission.

We also went to Disneyland and Las Vegas, became addicted to many TV shows, demolished a garage, joined facebook, celebrated three new nephews, made a lot of cookies and friends, celebrated another anniversary, and saw lots of family. Maybe I will blog about those things later. Maybe.

I know this is long, but heck, it's been six months.

My Baby Girl is One!!

Anya Lynn, our second born child, was born one year ago today! My oh my, time has flown. Wasn't she just born? She is such a fun little girl. We are so glad to have her in our lives! Here are a few pictures taken of her this past year.

Here is Anya as a newborn with her red nose, eye bump, and all:

Grandma Roberts got to hold her soon after she was born:

Anya was such a good baby, and she immediately became Amelia's best buddy:

Anya in her blessing dress:

Sometimes we thought Anya was so cute that we just wanted to "eat her up." Amelia may have taken that too literally:

Anya loves to be fed by her big sister and best buddy, Milly:

We often find Anya "peeking around things" to watch us. We'd better be good, huh?

Our little girls love to play together:

Anya loves to crawl. That is probably why she refuses to walk!

Anya loves sticking out that tongue. Apparently she has the "Holt tongue."

Mommy loves Anya:

Anya's first Easter (Amelia and mommy ate all of her candy):

Notice Anya's big teeth!

Anya and her family at Daddy's graduation:

We love Anya, and we are excited to see her grow in body, spirit, mind and hair!!

Happy Birthday Amelia!!!

Warning: this entry is a little long with lots of pictures.......it is a tribute to our Amelia!

Once upon a time.......about 3 years ago, a little baby girl was born. She was 7lbs. 8oz., 19 inches long, and had red hair:

This is Amelia with her Grandma Roberts ("Fishy") less than an hour after she was born:

Amelia's father, Calvin, after staying awake for 48 straight hours wondered what in the world he had gotten himself into:

But, when the child would sleep, things seemed a little less scary:

Amelia experienced her first Easter three days after she was born:

The car seat that held the little child seemed a little too big at first (Is that circular thing around the baby's head supposed to do something?):

Amelia finally started getting used to the outside world......or did she?

Amelia had a wonderful blessing day:

Amelia was finally starting to relax and enjoy her family:

She also grew into her car seat :

Amelia then picked her sport of choice (WHAT? No soccer in Enterprise?) I guess she will play the next best thing.......pickle ball:

Amelia's family was so happy to have her:

By this time, Amelia started learning all about food:

The family sure thought Amelia was cute in yellow:

When Amelia turned one, she celebrated with her Grandma Holt and cousins. She just soaked in all that attention.......wait, that was someone else:

After a while, Milly really started experiencing new things.......shapes,walking, camping, licorice, the zoo:

When Amelia wanted, she could sure be the camera's good friend:

But occasionally, she would shy away from the camera.....and strange hands:

Amelia loved necklaces, and her daddy......and still does:

By the time Amelia was two, you could see her becoming comfortable in restaurants, mowing the lawn, taking care of food storage, being a chef with Grandma "Fishy", and she even became a very protective big sister! Boy, our little girl was sure growing up:

Amelia, like her parents, never was a morning person:

But, she could sure strike a pose:

Amelia and little sister Anya, quickly became "best buddies":

Amelia has recently become a scholar of sorts:

Amelia loves to be with her cousins.......Ashlee is one of her top 50:

We love Amelia. We are so happy that she is 3. (Does this mean the terrible 2's are over?) She is such a good big sister and so fun to be around (Except when she is mad.....she does have red hair, ya know!!) . She is also a very funny girl, and we think her dimples and bright red hair are very cute:

Happy Birthday Amelia!!!! We love you! Let's live happily ever after!

The End

P.S. Don't mind the dates on some of the pictures. Yes, almost all of them are wrong.
